General Description
Responsible for compliance review and the development and delivery of training programs related to Title IV, Federal and State regulations, institutional policies and procedures, VA policies, and established goals and objectives. Provides leadership and management of Compliance and Training for Financial Aid and Veteran Affairs. Responsible for regulatory compliance of Title IV federal, state financial aid programs and VA benefits. Prepares college reports adhering to state, federal, system, and local requirements. Maintains quality assurance and provides training to the financial aid staff.

Essential Job Functions
1. Monitors the administration of all federal, state and institutional financial aid programs including the review of these programs through federal, state, and institutional audits.

2. Performs routine audits on active and inactive student files to ensure compliance with Title IV regulations.

3. Prepares and coordinates Financial Aid Processing‘s response to any internal/ external audit related to the management of Title IV program.

4. Collaborates with the Financial Aid leadership team to ascertain training needs related to regulatory compliance deficiencies.

5. Prepares reports for the U.S. Department of Education and the State of Florida.

6. Assists the AVP and Directors in developing communication pertinent to Valencia College financial aid programs through the design of calendars, flyers, poster, brochures, and articles.

7. Assists campus and district offices by ensuring accurate completion verification and documentation of students’ status.

8. Assists with management of daily functions of fund management and reconciliation.

9. Implements policies and procedures to ensure the accurate, timely and ethical compliance of the Title IV program funds according to federal and/or state regulations.

10. Assists in the research, development, implementation and enforcement of college policies and procedures.

11. Communicates updates of financial aid, cash management, and procedures through campus visits, teleconferences, webinars, training workshops and interdepartmental meetings.

12. Reviews campus financial aid processes to ensure the accurate and timely processing of student financial aid files and the proper processing of federal funds in accordance with Title IV regulations.

13. Collaborates with campus leadership team to ensure campus compliance with regulations, and college policies and procedures.

14. Attends relevant conferences and training workshops to remain current on Title IV Program, Federal and State regulations and VA regulations.

15. Serves as a community resources person and represents the college to outside groups as needed.

16. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution in business, finance or related degree. Master’s degree is preferred.

2. Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in a financial aid office or related work experience.

3. Demonstrated proficiency using standard office software applications.

4. A demonstrated commitment to diversity.

5. Must be able to perform all of the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

Knowledge Skills Abilities
1. Knowledge of federal and state regulations, such as Title IV, and government agencies pertaining to financial aid.
