The Vice President of Financial Aid is responsible for the successful operations of the Financial Aid Team at the New England campuses.
Since Financial Aid is regulated by various Federal and State agencies, it is imperative that the Vice President of Financial Aid has a complete and thorough knowledge of all laws, policies and regulations to ensure that the students receive the proper amount of financial aid available to them and the company is in total compliance with all applicable requirements.
The Vice President of Financial Aid is responsible for ensuring that all areas of the company receive guidance when necessary to support their various functions. This includes making sure that a trained and knowledgeable financial aid representative is available as required to support the admissions staff.

Provide assistance to education staff as required working with various situations that may occur during the course of business, and working with accounting to ensure accuracy and detail of student accounts.
Must stay abreast of modifications or changes to financial aid and advise management in a timely manner of any changes that will impact the company operations.
Ensure the highest level of customer service to both internal and external customers.
Ensure that all records are maintained in a safe and secure manner at all times.
Ensure that all student files and records are maintained to protect student and company confidentiality.
Ensure that all refunds due to students or lenders are made in a timely manner without exception.
Ensure that Financial Aid is accurately packaged, calculated, and eligible for each student according to Title IV clock hour regulations.
Create and maintain an environment throughout the Financial Aid process that fosters long-term relationships with student and, if applicable, their families.
Consistently meet and exceed Financial Aid and Default Prevention Departmental goals as assigned by Senior Vice President.
Provide effective leadership, mentorship, and guidance to all personnel in the Financial Aid and Default Prevention departments.
Effectively manage by providing direct supervision, motivation, training, and support to the Financial Aid and Default Prevention Teams.
Ensure that all Financial Aid and Default Prevention Department policies and procedure are effective, in compliance with all accrediting and regulatory requirements, and implemented and complied with by personnel in these areas.
Maintain knowledge of current regulations and stay abreast of proposed requirements and regulations that pertain to Financial Aid and Default Prevention.
Keep the Senior Vice President advised of all significant problems or conditions affecting the Financial Aid and Default Prevention Teams and make appropriate recommendation for correction and/or improvement.
Responsible for truthful, accurate and timely reporting of Financial Aid and Default Prevention Department statistics as prescribed by the Senior Vice President/Management Council.
Ensure that all personnel and activities of the Financial Aid and Default Prevention Departments project a favorable image of NAA upon staff, students, faculty and the public.
Work with lenders, servicers and other third-party vendors as necessary.
Participate in the department’s strategic planning process, and in developing the annual COE report.
Other duties as determined by specific associations/agencies which will lead to the betterment of the student(s) and/or as assigned by the President or Executive Vice President.
Clock hour experience is preferred
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
Ability to perform basic and complex math calculations.
Ability to access, input, retrieve information from computer.
Ability to organize and instruct/facilitate specific course work, workshops, and other activities serving the targeted populations.
Knowledge of Human Resource practices and counseling skills
Required Education and Experience:
- 3-5 years’ experience as a Financial Aid Director recommended.
- High School Diploma required, Post-Secondary Degree (2-4 year
Accounting/Business) preferred.
- Knowledge of CampusVue software a plus.
- Superior customer service skills required.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
- Strong knowledge of governmental web-based systems. (EdConnect, G5, COD,
NSLDS, VA-Once, CPS Access)
- Student Accounts background preferred.
