Region I Representative Nominee

Ivy Wilcox

Statement of Candidacy

I am honored to be considered for the position of Regional 1 Representative for the Florida Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (FASFAA). FASFAA provides a great form of leadership opportunities for financial aid administrators. The purpose of FASFAA is to develop and maintain professional standards of financial aid administration, to promote cooperation and communication among its members. I am extremely grateful to be apart of such a great organization who are dedicated to building strong leaders, students and communities.

As a first-generation student, attending college was a dream come true. Without the help from the financial aid representatives, and family members; I would not have been successful in my college journey.

My current and past experiences have prepared me for this next assignment in my life. Being in financial aid over 20 years, it is evident that I am passionate about what I do. My job goes beyond the regular 9-5 work day. I am always looking for ways to bridge the gap for our students, staff and campus community.

Serving as the Regional 1 Representative would be a great way for me to give back and certainly an honor.
