The University of West Florida invites applications for the position of Senior Financial Aid Counselor (#110420). Employee is responsible for evaluated and awarding student financial aid according to federal, state and institutional policy and procedure and providing financial advising and counseling to students and parents. Employee is required to stay up to date on Financial Aid policies and changes in order to serve as a resource and offer guidance to financial aid counseling staff.

Reporting to the Associate Director of Financial Aid, the Senior Financial Aid Counselor is required to have strong written and oral communication skills, exemplary customer service skills, ability to handle conflict, strong analytical skills. Candidate must have excellent knowledge of federal and state financial aid regulations. The successful candidate will possess a minimum of a Master’s degree in appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor’s degree is appropriate area of specialization and two years of financial aid experience. Banner experience is preferred.
