Each participant selected from FASFAA’s five regions will be paired with their local region representative.  The remaining two participants will be paired with FASFAA Secretary and VP of Training.  Throughout the duration of the year until June 30, 2018, participants will be mentored by seasoned FASFAA and Financial Aid experienced member.  This will offer an exchange of ideas and methodologies practiced by various institutions on the administration of student aid.  Participants will also receive direct experience volunteering and serving with an educational non-profit organization.  They will also be exposed to FASFAA “Day of Advocacy” in Tallahassee in early 2018, with planned meetings with members of Florida Legislature.  Lastly, those selected will participate in a leadership training Pre-Conference Workshop 1 day before FASFAA’s Annual Conference.  At FASFAA’s Annual Conference in May, 2018, they will be recognized and asked to provide a summary of their experience.  It is the goal of this program to provide a formal training and mentoring program that fosters both “Leaders of Tomorrow” in Financial Aid and FASFAA.  We hope you are interested in this highly competitive program.
