STATEMENT OF CANDIDACY

It is with great pleasure and an honor to be considered for the position of Region V Representative for the Florida Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (FASFAA).

The purpose of FASFAA is in intricate factor to the educational and career success of students and educational institutions. FASFAA contributes to the growth of financial aid (promotes), provides support/aid to professionals (assist), and makes things easier; helps bring about change (facilitate). Music to my ears and soul; my philosophy within the educational arena mirrors the concepts and vision of FASFAA.

My 14+ years of experience has prepared me to effectively utilize collaborative, shared decision making and proactive measures to build and maintain excellence. I strive to assist my colleagues while facilitating and promoting elevation. I believe that it takes a village, a campus, to build and bridge the gap to obtain and maintain financial aid success.

The opportunity to serve South Florida (Martin, Hendry, Palm Beach, Collier, Broward, Monroe, and Miami-Dade counties) as the Region V Representative for FASFAA is indeed a part of my vision board; giving back to the organization that helped me to build a philosophy built on assisting, promoting and facilitating financial aid success!
