Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience.
Preferences: This position is responsible for the coordination and supervision of scholarships. Preferred qualifications include excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills. Additionally, we would like recent financial aid experience working in a financial aid office, a working knowledge of PeopleSoft, supervisory experience, and the ability to interact with federal and state financial aid systems as needed. The ideal candidate will be multi-task and detail oriented and able to adapt easily to various situations. This position interacts with many different departments and individuals both within and outside the UCF Community. Participation in outreach activities will be necessary.
Job Description: This position coordinates and supervises the management of private, institutional (departmental and foundation-funded) and federal scholarships and waivers.
This is a Senior Coordinator, Student Financial Aid position.
Monitors the processing and maintenance of the scholarships awarded on the PeopleSoft system.
Serves as point of contact for private scholarship donors who need invoicing, maintenance, award updates and refunds.
Supervises staff involved in the awarding, processing, coordination and communication of scholarships and campus based programs.
Responsible for oversight of Honors Waivers. Back-up for entering the out of state waivers on the system and monitoring all awards.
Ensures scholarship eligibility is met prior to disbursements of the awards. Evaluates and monitors quality assurance and compliance with regulations within PeopleSoft.
Reviews renewal criteria of UCF scholarship recipients and follows up accordingly. Communicates appropriately to the students.
Responsible for maintenance of the Knights Opportunity Scholars Awards, Black and Gold Scholarship and other campus based programs with the exception of UCF Scholars and Federal Perkins Loan
Monitors and coordinates adjustments for over awards and overpayments within the PeopleSoft system. Works with private donors, UCF departments and the UCF Foundation to ensure compliance and timely receipt of funds.
Serves as backup for the scholarship coordinators reporting to this position.
Responsible for scholarship calendar of activities. This includes communications for the scholarship area.
Coordinates with other staff the revision and establishment of business processes as needed within PeopleSoft and office management.
Provides advice and counsel to students and parents on all aspects of the financial aid process.
Attends meetings and workshops and maintains appropriate knowledge of federal, state and institutional rules and regulations regarding financial aid.
Assists with financial aid outreach functions both off and on campus.
Backup for Item Type maintenance and creation
Responsible for management of overall scholarship P&P and Scholarship Manual
Responsible for set-up, maintenance & management of the Scholarship A2O System.
Completes other appropriate duties as assigned.

Location: UCF Main Campus Orlando, Florida
Hours: Monday through Friday 8:00am-5:00pm. Occasional evenings and weekends required.
