UCF Coordinator, Student Financial Assistance Position 45156
Minimum qualifications:
A master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience
Preferences:
The selected candidate for this Coordinator position will have extensive knowledge of current financial aid rules and regulations, excellent oral and written communication skills, and strong organizational skills. The preferred candidate will have recent experience working in an automated financial aid office, recent PeopleSoft experience, and experience working in an institution with extensive student contact.
This position is responsible for:
The coordination of the Satisfactory Academic Progress and Professional Judgment processes.
Coordinating the Academic Appeal processes and assisting in Forced Independence application processes.
Evaluating Satisfactory Academic Process Appeals and serving on the SAP committee.
Reviewing appeal applications, making appropriate award adjustments, and notifying the student of the results.
Advising and counseling students and parents regarding the financial aid process.
Conditions: Occasional evenings and weekends required.
